Dr. Berg talks about why people don't stick to a diet and stay consistent with a healthy eating plan. You would think they could learn from the past and then predict future consequences. The problem is people are living in the moment, wanting that instant gratification, that quick fix, that temporary pleasure and do not think about future - consequences. So in Dr. Berg's book, the New Body Type Guide at the back, there is cut-out card you can use, which will keep your awareness high and help you start living in the future and making better decisions. Before you eat something unhealthy, push yourself into the future and LOOK at the effect it would create, then decide if its worth it. Sometimes when you are only focused on the present and ignoring the future, it can get you in trouble. Because in the moment, you simply want to experience some pleasurable pleasure out of boredom or stress or whatever. The goal is to keep you a bit removed from this pattern so you can see things more clearly.
Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 52 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. His private practice is located in Alexandria, Virginia. His clients include senior officials in the U.S. government and the Justice Department, ambassadors, medical doctors, high-level executives of prominent corporations, scientists, engineers, professors, and other clients from all walks of life. He is the author of The New Body Type Guides, published by KB Publishing in January 2017. Dr. Berg trains chiropractors, physicians and allied healthcare practitioners in his methods, and to date he has trained over 2,500 healthcare professionals. He has been a past member of the Endocrinology Society, and has taught students as an adjunct professor at Howard University.
