Now I'm a firm believer in eating what makes you feel GOOD- and I'll be real with you, chocolate makes me feel like a fudging QUEEN! Life is all about moderation and indulging in those sweet treats- GUILT FREEEEE! In this video I'm showing you guys how yummy and decedent sweets can be made HEALTHY for this holiday season!
Now ladies and gents these are still TREATS! You shouldn't be replacing your lunch salad with a plate of almond cookies...enjoy these like you would regular treats! These are just a healthier alternative to your typical processed & rich holiday desserts!
All of these recipes are gluten free, grain free, dairy free and 2 of them are also vegan! So for all of you who also have food allergies, fear the dessert table NO LONGER! These are the perfect treats to bring to holiday parties to ensure your sweet cravings are satisfied too- and I promise you that your junk food loving friends won't even know that these are healthy! It'll be our little secret ;)
As put by a lovely subscriber- You can calorie count all you want but if theres no nutritional value to it then it doesn't matter. These treats are refined sugar free, have a low glycemic index, they will help balance blood sugar, they have protein, fibre, they are easily digestible and are baked at a low temperature preserving nutrient density.
Almond Cinnamon Cookies (Gluten Free/Grain Free/Dairy Free) -2 cups of ground almonds -3/4 cup stevia -3/4 teaspoon cinnaimon -2 egg whites -3/4 cup of stevia ***Place in 200F oven for 30-35 minutes. When the cookies are lightly golden and firm throughout, turn off the oven & open the oven door just a crack to have the cookies to dry out for 10 more minutes.
Peanut Butter Gingerbread Cookies (Gluten Free/Grain Free/Vegan) -1/3 cup stevia brown sugar -3 tbs almond meal flour -1 stevia packet -1 tsp powdered ginger -3/4 tsp baking soda -1/2 cup peanut butter -2 tbs apple sauce -1 tsp vanilla extract -2-4 tbs stevia sweetened chocolate chips (vegan) ***Cook 8 minutes at 350F***
Chocolate Fudge Truffles (Gluten Free/Grain Free/Vegan) -2/3 cup black beans -1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract -1/2 tbs pure maple syrup -1 stevia packet -2-4 tbs of stevia sweetened chocolate chips (vegan) -1/2 tsp of peppermint oil -Crushed candy canes _____
