Key nutrients of The Bariaric Advantage Chewable Calcium Citrates - Cinnamon:
- Calcium Citrate Repeatedly shown to be the most bio-available form of calcium. Calcium Citrate does not require an acidic environment for absorption, so it is an excellent choice after weight loss surgery. This form of calcium may protect against kidney stones, so it is safe to recommend to at-risk patients.
- Magnesium Chelate Magnesium is important for bone health and supports calcium absorption. The amino acid chelate is easy to digest and is not likely to be irritating. Magnesium is also an important nutrient for cardiovascular health.
- Vitamin D3 This natural form of vitamin D is readily converted to the active form needed for bone health. Vitamin D is needed both for calcium absorption and utilization. It is especially important to DS/BPD patients who have malabsorption of fat soluble vitamins.
- Vitamin K Vitamin K plays an important role in bone health. Vitamin K is needed to synthesize osteocalcin, a major protein in bone. Low levels are associated with bone loss in men and women.

Enjoyed the refreshing different flavor. Tablets were a bit crumbly...I have to take bites and chew...too big to put the whole thing in at one time.

I disagree with several of the others. I have tried chocolate and cinnamon and both are great. I look forward to my little treat. Yes they are I guess chalky but I also "used to" happen to like smarties which really have that same consistency.

I ordered the Cinnamon flavor tabs even after reading reviews of how strong some thought they were and I really like them. You can expect a calcium supplement to have a chalky taste, but this is much better and I don't feel like I am eating calcium. Definitely recommend.

I would not recommend these to my worst enemy!! I got the chocolate flavored ones thinking it would be sorta a snack for me...but boy was I wrong. They taste like you have a mouth full of unsweetened cocoa!! The powder in the chewable pill is so strong that it nearly chokes me!! I am trying to choke them down so I don't waste my money, but not sure if it's gonna happen!!

The cinnamon calcium citrate chewable tablets were awful. When you first put them in your mouth they are a bit refreshing and then WOW it hits you, they are really chalky. I also purchased the chocolate and haven't tried them yet will write a review when I do..... (Updated on 7/2/2012.)

Much Better by

I recently refilled my supply of the calcium citrate with the Cinnamon flavor tabs. This flavor is much tastier than the almost inedible chocolate ones. To be fair, the chocolate tabs seemed okay the first two weeks or so, but after that I found them to be intolerable. The Cinnamon flavor tabs on the other hand are tasty and much easier to tolerate for long periods of time. I actually look forward to taking these tabs in a way I never looked forward to taking the chocolate tabs.

Definately would not take these for pleasure, but not bad as a necessary supplement. Like getting easy to digest chewables!

I ordered the Cinnamon because of the favorable reviews for it. Yuck! best describes the taste of this supplement. It's a large tablet and it's extremely chalky. I'm sending it back.

This has been a life saver! I struggle with getting enough calcium in and this makes it easy for me to take while on the go. I am required to take a large amount of calcium and I can take these along as a snack and take them throughout the day until I have my amount in. The taste isn't bad either!
